India’s Total Export Value Reaches USD 860 Billion in FY 2025-26

India’s total exports of goods and services reached USD 860 billion in the financial year 2025-26, making the highest level recorded to date, according to the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal.

Record Milestone Shows Increased Growth Across Goods and Services Trade

This latest figure represents an increase from USD 825 billion in 2024-25, indicating continued expansion in India’s overall trade performance.

“Bharat sets a new export record! A matter of great pride as India achieves record export of $860 billion in FY 2025-26.” said Piyush Goyal on a social media post. He added that the milestone reflects India’s growing strength in global trade and its expanding presence across international markets. This surge marks a significant increase of 84.5% from $466 billion recorded in FY 2013-14.

Trade Agreements and Sector Contribution Support Momentum

The minister also noted that nine trade agreements concluded by India are expected to support further growth by opening access to additional markets and creating opportunities across sectors.

Other noted industry bodies acknowledged the development. Nirmal Minda, President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), said the performance indicated continued progress across key export segments. He added that services of exports, along with sectors such as engineering and electronics, have contributed to the overall growth.

The milestone comes as India continues to expand its export base across both merchandise and services, supported by policy measures and increasing participation in global trade. Industry representatives indicated that ongoing trade agreements and sectoral growth could contribute to further expansion in the coming financial year.
